Teaching How to Look is a free, hands-on workshop that Miova Kreatif runs for graphic design students. Each participant works on an individual design exercise on their own computer, with guidance from the Miova team throughout.
How the workshop works
- The workshop is limited to 10 participants; with the Miova team, there will be 15–16 people at the venue.
- It runs for about 90 minutes.
- Please arrive 15 minutes early to set up and settle in.
- Applications and organisation are handled by Miova.
- Taking part is free; each participant is expected to order at least one drink from Geek Coffee Shop.
- Miova is preparing a gift pack for every participant.
The working setup
Bring your own laptop or tablet. Tables and chairs will be arranged so that ten people can sit and work close together.
There will be no loud presentations or music. Most of the session is individual work on your own computer, with short talks and peer reviews in between.
What the venue provides
- Internet access for participants
- Power sockets for charging, with extension leads and power strips if needed
- Where available, a TV or projector for short talks and showing the work
The workshop goes ahead as planned even without a TV or projector.
Photos and sharing
Miova will take photos and short videos during the workshop. Geek Coffee Shop will be credited and tagged as the venue when they are shared.
