This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the website of Miova Kreatif ve Dijital Teknolojiler San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. (“Miova”), what they are used for and how you can manage your preferences. For details on the personal data processed through cookies, see our Privacy Notice.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website you visit stores in your browser. Local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) works in a similar way and also stores information in your browser. In this policy we refer to both as “cookies and similar technologies”.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These are needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie preferences. They cannot be switched off and do not depend on your consent.

• cc_cookie (Miova): stores your cookie preferences and when you gave them. Duration: 6 months.
• __cf_bm (Cloudflare): may be set when needed to protect the site from automated traffic and abuse. Duration: 30 minutes.

Analytics cookies

These run only if you choose “Accept all” or turn analytics cookies on in your preferences. They help us measure how you use the site through information such as the pages visited, where the visit came from, device type and approximate location (country/city).

• _ga (Google Analytics): stores a random ID to tell visitors apart. Duration: 2 years.
• _ga_<ID> (Google Analytics): stores session information. Duration: 2 years.
• mp_<ID>_mixpanel (Mixpanel): stores a random ID to tell visitors apart and where the visit came from. Duration: 1 year.

We load Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager and use Google Consent Mode. Analytics cookies are not set until you consent; until then, limited signals that contain no cookies and do not identify you may be sent to Google. Advertising and personalisation permissions are always off.

We load Mixpanel only after you consent; until then, no data is sent to Mixpanel. With your consent, it measures page views and interactions such as form submissions, file downloads, games and blog votes; your name, email address and form contents are not sent. Mixpanel keeps measurement records waiting to be sent and your consent state in your browser’s local storage (__mpq_*, __mp_opt_in_out_*).

Advertising and marketing cookies

We do not use advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies on our site. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent separately for the new category.

Local storage

The following information is created in your browser only when you use the related feature and is needed for that feature to work. Unless stated otherwise, it is not sent to us.

• Games: the nickname you choose, your best score, and your sound and difficulty preferences. When you finish a game, your nickname and score are sent to us for the leaderboard; game records that could not be sent because of a connection problem wait in your browser for up to 7 days.
• Multiplayer rooms: a room key so you can reconnect to a room. It is deleted when you close the tab.
• Blog feedback: your votes and a randomly generated visitor ID. When you vote, this ID is sent to us in a one-way transformed form.
• Game announcement: a date so the announcement window is not shown again for 7 days after you close it, and your music preference.

Live cursors and emoji reactions do not use cookies or local storage.

Managing your preferences

• You can give, change or withdraw your consent at any time with the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of the page.
• In the preferences window you can switch analytics cookies on or off as a category or for the Google Analytics 4 and Mixpanel services individually; the list of cookies in each category is also shown there.
• When you withdraw consent, analytics measurement stops and the Google Analytics and Mixpanel cookies set through our site are deleted from your browser.
• You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser’s privacy settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, your preferences will not be remembered and the cookie window will appear on every visit.
• To opt out of Google Analytics on all websites, you can use Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
